Going Solar Powered!

After several months of investigation and planning, we have finally been given the go ahead for the installation of solar panels on one side of our warehouse roof.

We have invested in the benefits of solar power, these are for both environmental and financial reasons. The energy industry is in the midst of a rapid transformation, with unprecedented price increases and continued uncertainty as to when this will stop.

We are continuing to invest in greener technology, not only with solar technology, but with the introduction of more energy efficient and energy saving devices such as LED lighting inside and outside the warehouse as well as two new, more efficient, fork lift trucks and battery chargers.

This investment will allow us to be partly self-sufficient and to significantly reduce our energy bills, only limited by the DNO (Distribution Network Operators) and our power supply into the building. The electricity generated will be fed into the national grid, resulting in us reducing our CO2 output by over 13 tonnes per annum in these projects alone.
